Individual Psychotherapy

As a counseling practitioner, Erika believes there are no “one-size fits all” treatments when it comes to mental wellness and is keenly aware of the stigma associated with mental illness,  particularly in diverse communities. In her practice, she seeks to create a safe, non-judgmental environment in which her clients can explore their thoughts and feelings – allowing them the freedom to be themselves. Erika’s compassion, patience, and empathic listening style, assist her in guiding and educating her clients on their journey of empowerment, reconnection, and restoration of balance in their lives. Erika is passionate about utilizing an integrative holistic approach toward psychotherapy. This approach encompasses the needs of the whole person, not just presenting behaviors or symptoms. This approach is achieved by incorporating various psychotherapies, neuroscience, nutrition, exercise, and mindfulness therapy. Erika’s areas of clinical interest are depression, anxiety, trauma, life transition, parenting conflicts, and relationship issues. Additionally, she has certificates and training in Psychological First Aid, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy  (EMDR), Trauma Counseling, and Health Coaching.
